The furniture is a desk cylinder with roller door and drawers. The back is completed also with refined panels, as it is considered to be in the centre of a room and not to be placed against a wall. The roller door, with a perfect sliding, is a particular feature that distinguishes it from folding desks of the late eighteenth century. It consists of a rectangular plan to write that is hidden when the mobile is closed, in the sliding cylinder door. Under the top of the desk, there is an area divided into three drawers. And it is provided with two other side drawers and rests on four squared legs, tapered downwards. Inside the cylinder a sliding shelf in central position and four side drawers take place. It is made of walnut wood and is in a good condition. It must be possible external and internal polishing. The Louis XVI is the last stage of courtly style that gives rise to the new art germs. It inspired by a new simplicity announcing the Empire style, as it is called neo-classicism, which will be established in France with the French Revolution and especially with the birth of the Empire of Napoleon Bonaparte. In those years, the ornaments began to give way to the new taste; disappeared gradually curves and swirls and the use of the straight line stated. The craftsmen tried, therefore, to give back to the cabinet a solid and clear structure.
