Dresser with three drawers fully veneered in walnut (or with part of the tree trunk with walnut move grain and coupled mirroring the direction of the grain). Inside the drawers are made of pine. The decorated and original vents of the drawers central locks are made of brass. The drawers are built in the right-angle junctions with solid wood elements through the technique of the dovetail joints, a kind of multi-junction, characterized by elements with interlocking male and female, complementary and trapezoidal. It is in excellent condition and does not require restoration. The Louis XVI is the last stage of courtly style that gives rise to the new art germs. It inspired by a new simplicity announcing the Empire style, as it is called neo-classicism, which will be established in France with the French Revolution and especially with the birth of the Empire of Napoleon Bonaparte. In those years, the ornaments began to give way to the new taste; disappeared gradually curves and swirls and the use of the straight line stated. The craftsmen tried, therefore, to give back to the cabinet a solid and clear structure.
