Wooden trunk

The wooden trunk has a rustic look and has been constructed using dovetail joints, left visible. It has metal fasteners and metal reinforcements nailed to the wood in the corners. A special feature is the two initial digits A. F. the initials, presumably of the original owner who commissioned the manufacture of trunk. Evidently it could have been used for travelling. In recent times it has undergone cleaning and polishing, to make it usable as a piece of furniture of box, and has been internally lined with decorative paper.
