This example of a Samovar is a container made of Sheffield steel and was used in Russia to heat water for tea. Its formed by a tube arranged vertically in the centre of the jug, where its introduced and burned with the coal needed to heat the water. The upper part of the tube in the shape of a cup serves to hold the pot and keep it warm.
