The table is formed by a horizontal plane of wood, metal, plastic or other rigid material supported by three, four or more legs, of different shapes and sizes depending on the use to which it is used.
It can also be supported by a central column, in this case it usually has a more elegant appearance and a more limited and often circular surface.
The table is used in the kitchen or in the dining room to consume the food.
It can however be used as an alternative to a desk in a study or office. Depending on the various cultures, it can change dimensions and shapes.
For example, in cultures where it is customary to sit on rugs or cushions, the legs of the table are very short.
